Built by an Operator

AnchorStone Investments

Founder Story

I spent two decades leading capital-intensive businesses where accountability is non-negotiable. That background trained me to think in downside scenarios, contingency planning, and disciplined execution.

AnchorStone applies that same rigor to multifamily investing:

This is not a pivot into something trendy. It is a transfer of discipline.

Introduction

As the founder and CEO of AnchorStone Investments, Aasim Waheed brings over two decades of executive leadership, complex operations management, and strict P&L oversight to the multifamily real estate sector.

Unlike traditional real estate sponsors who rely primarily on market timing, Aasim approaches multifamily acquisition and management through an operator’s lens. With a 20+ year track record of building high-performing teams, commercializing complex solutions, and consistently delivering bottom-line results under intense corporate scrutiny, Aasim understands that real estate is a business of operational execution.

Leveraging a deeply data-driven mindset and formal training in analytics and strategy from GeorgiaTech Master in Data Analytics, Aasim built AnchorStone to bring institutional-grade rigor to the multifamily space. By treating every property as an individual financial engine, Aasim focuses on finding inefficiencies, optimizing operating expenses, and aggressively driving Net Operating Income (NOI).

For AnchorStone’s passive investors (LPs), this engineering-style approach to asset management means less speculation and a heavier focus on capital preservation, proactive risk mitigation, and predictable, forced appreciation.

When not analyzing markets or walking properties in the Northwest Houston corridor, he enjoys spending time with family, running, and reading books.
